FAQs

What is sublimation?

Sublimation is a printing technique which uses heat to transfer dye onto materials. The dye becomes one with the material to create a seamless design. This technique works best on white materials.

What is HTV?

Heat transfer vinyl (HTV) is a material that is cut and applied to fabric with heat. This technique results in a tangible design that looks ironed onto the fabric.

What is vinyl?

Vinyl is an adhesive material that is cut and applied to non-fabric materials, like a sticker. Vinyl can be permanent or removable, depending on the purpose of the finished product.

How do I decide whether to purchase a sublimation or HTV shirt?

HTV designs can be done on shirts with almost any combination of color and fabric. Because each HTV color must be cut and placed separately, we limit HTV designs to 3 colors. Sublimation is unlimited in colors, because the design is printed with ink. However, we only use sublimation designs on white polyester shirts, which have a smooth, dri-fit feel.
